ABOUT ALEX “AnG3L” FTOULIS

MULTIDISCIPLINARY ARTIST, DESIGNER & CREATIVE ENGINEER • LIMASSOL, CYPRUS

Alex Ftoulis, known internationally as AnG3L, is a Cypriot multidisciplinary artist, designer, creative engineer, and sculptor. Born in Limassol, Cyprus, Alex's creative journey is characterized by relentless technical perfection, bold material experimentation, and profound aesthetic exploration.

1. The Golden Era of Case Modding & Hardware Architecture

In the late 2000s and early 2010s, Alex emerged as one of the most prominent PC case modders and scratch-builders in the world under the alias AnG3L. Heavily sponsored by leading global technology pioneers - including Samsung, EVGA, MSI, Razer, Bitspower, and Corsair-he won numerous prestigious international modding competitions and was featured on the front pages and covers of major hardware magazines worldwide. Documented by international media and top hardware publications such as bit-tech, his landmark scratch-built projects, including AnG3L, the wood-and-aluminum architectural build ToTecHniKa, and the Razer-sponsored water-cooled monolith Future Schlock (inspired by Razer CEO Robert M. Krakoff's sci-fi novel), won global acclaim and Mod of the Year nominations. His physical mastery over acrylic sculpture, CNC milling, precision metallurgy, and fluid dynamics laid the structural foundation for his visual philosophy.

2. Angel Arts - Sacred Iconography & Handcrafted Briar Sculpture

Under the creative banner Angel Arts, Alex dedicated years to traditional fine physical arts, mastering Greek Byzantine sacred iconography and bespoke handcrafted tobacco pipe sculpture. Channeling ancient artisanal techniques, egg tempera on wood, gold leaf gilding, and precision briar wood sculpting, Angel Arts represents his tactile mastery over sacred and functional physical art forms.

3. Contemporary Digital Surrealism & On-Chain Art

Synthesizing his industrial precision with raw emotional truth, Alex created body-of-work photocollages that explore the psychological weight of obedience, alienation, memory, and spiritual rebirth. His seminal collection, Red Series IV: Dreams Grow Where Moments Die, presents 47 surreal visual meditations alongside verified on-chain smart contract editions on Manifold, Transient Labs, and Objkt.
